About
A vessel carries precious cargo safely to port.
Vessel is a small, focused company building safer, cheaper, and calmer cold chain for the pharmaceutical supply chain — one shipment, one signed record, one returned sensor at a time.
Why we exist
Incumbent cold chain is priced like enterprise software, shipped like a moving company.
The reusable-box model that defines the category was built on top of a lot of capital, and the per-shipment price has to pay that capital back. It also takes a thing the customer would happily keep — the box — and forces it back into a reverse-logistics loop where freight cost can exceed the value inside.
Vessel is a bootstrapped, vertically integrated answer to that. We design the logger, we run the platform, and we send back only the sensor. The savings are structural, not promotional.
What we believe
Safe passage is the whole job.
Our brand is a vessel: a thing that carries precious cargo across distance, and arrives intact. Everything we ship — the hardware, the documentation, the experience — is in service of that.
Lean is the moat.
The cheapest way to make customers loyal is to be a category they can afford to use everywhere. We hold the cost line by being lean, not by cutting corners on quality.
The receiver matters.
Specialty pharmacies are the unsung half of the cold chain. We design around what makes their life easier, not just the distributor’s.
Boring beats clever in regulated industries.
An audit trail that just works, every time, beats a feature dashboard nobody trusts under inspection.
Where we're going
A few quiet years of building, then everywhere temperature-sensitive medicine moves.
We launch with 2–8°C refrigerated and 15–25°C CRT — the highest-volume ranges in specialty and plasma distribution. Frozen and ultra-cold coverage, real-time monitoring tiers, and expanded ingestion options arrive as customers ask for them, not before.
